In case you haven't, and have never heard of it, here's a quick recap;
Amnesia (or Amnesia, the dark descent in total) is an indie game made by Frictional games and it's famous for being the most scary game EVER.
I got it when I bought the latest humble bundle (a "bundle" of a couple of indie games for a free to pick price, if you pay more than average you get some extra games; it's a very cheap deal!)
I never intended to play it, but eventually I did... and heck it IS scary!
So I was wondering; has anyone here played it? Or even completed the entire game (respect to those people, really!).
Anyway, if you like a good scare, I really, really recommend it to you. I still have to find a living person who is NOT scared like hell by it... :S

I've never played it, but me and a couple of buddies got on Ventrilo one night and one of them played it while drinking, in the dark. Haha. It was pretty funny, but he did scream a lot and we did a lot of consoling too haha.

Oops, I only see now I even mistyped the name in the title >_>

This time's humble bundle is really great, it's over now tough...
And I'm all the time "play or don't play?" with Amnesia. Just because it's so f*cking scary... But it's also very nice and awesome in a creepy kind of sense.

Hello,
I've never heard of Humble Bundle, I signed up for the newsletter :) I played Silent Hill way back in the day and that was pretty scary and very out there. I'm going to look into Amnesia, might be kinda fun to get out of my mmorpg box. Summer is here and people aren't playing as much, so it's a great time to try something new.

Yea, if you like horror games, I really recommend it.
I heard silent hill is one of the scarier games in the horror genre, but Amnesia is definitely scarier. It just plays on your mind so much, and the developers know that showing the monsters only sparingly is scarier than making them jump around every corner... you also have no weapons, so you have no other option than to run and hide...

I assure you, that when you play it at night with headphones on it will be an experience you never forget. ;P Tough it will be a really, really, scary one...

I was impressed by the thrill of this game. I only ever tried the demo but I'd love to play the whole thing.

Yea, if you like horror, it's well worth it.
It is easy to download illegally, but I'd just pay their price; it's really fair and since it's an indie company they can use every penny they get ;) unlike larger game companies they can actually go down on illegal downloads.
Shame you missed the humble bundle, you could have payed 1$ for it then ;)

Indeed, I was blown away by the graphics, just... wow! For an indie game, one of the best I've seen. Also like how they use light and darkness very actively in the game and how it just plays on your imagination, instead of showing monsters clearly, usually you see only a shadow. Which only makes it creepier!
