Mahed potatos cooled down...ice cream..pudding...that type of stuff is what i had for the first day. I also sucked on ice cubes. Just remember anything you eat for at least the first day should be lukewarm at its hottest. Good luck, its really not that bad.

Third set is on the way, maybe I can make it over two years this time.

I got mine pierced about a million years ago, but I think the soft/cool recommendation is a good one--just be moderately careful and you'll be fine.

I remember Ramen Noodles were a BAD idea. After clamping down on the barbell 3 or 4 times and my tongue 6 or 7... there really wasn't much eating going on anyway. Just sucked on a few ice cubes.

luckily i was in AZ and worked right next to door to a jamba juice, a smoothie bar. i lived on smoothies for the first few days...not sure if you've got anything comparable in IL but they're pretty easy to make on your own if ya have a blender, fruit (frozen works best), maybe some milk or soymilk for protein etc.

i've had my nip, nose, ears and tongue pierced...the tongue def hurt the worst, ooowwwwww. hope your experience was a lot more pleasant.
