Cheers, his hair is progressing more slowly than mine - I used lots of salt water, went sea swimming, bleached my hair 3 months in, etc - Alex hasn't really done any of that and his hair is like silk so it's taken longer to form knots.

He's happy now that he's finally getting somewhere

Loads of progress, kudos to your son!
He's blessed for having you to back him up. I know the lives of some of us would be so less heavy if we had support from our families regarding our locks.
He has to appreciate it.

So! He didn't last a year, now he wants the dreads back!

He didnt like the patience route, so we sat down with a comb and crochet hook today.

I'm pleased with the sectioning, but I haven't made them all the same size as he didnt want that, it was harder to get some of the chunkier ones to back comb tight too!
