Me and my boyfriend have been together for a little over four years, and I feel like I've finally run dry on special gift ideas :/ I usually buy him something and make him something, I know he really doesn't expect me to buy anything for him but I absolutely have to.

So, I'm looking for ideas from guys and gals.
Men-what was the most special gift you recieved from a girlfriend
Girls- What gift was your boy most excited about?

I'm not looking to completely steal ideas, just take little ideas here and there and create my own out of it :dreads:

I can't wait to see what everyone has to say!
<3 thanks!!

Ohhh my god did my exes love FOOOOOD!
My first boyfriend loved chocolate more than all the PMSing women in the world combined!
My second boyfriend's dad is a chef, so he loved alll sorts of food.
Food is always the way into a man's heart.

OH! And my first boyfriend is addicted to that Portal game, so I bought him a t-shirt with their logo and such. He looooved that.... and the pile of brownies that I gave him with it XD

It could also be fun if your gift was like doing something together:
My second boyfriend and I spent a day making a nutella cheesecake(omg) together and that was the day he said he knew he wanted to date me!

Guys can be pretty simple -- if he loves you he'll love anything that you give him :)

What sort of guy is he?
Is he geeky? Is he a manly man?
Give us some info, so we may help you more accurately! (:

A DVD. wooo.

and some oversized socks that fall down....

Gifts aren't important, spend the money on doing something together...an experience, a meal out, an adventure.... I'm terrible when it comes to presents. If you walked past a craft stall and saw something perfect for a friend...Great! But that doesn't happen much, and we end up buying gifts for the sake of it.

My Husby totally believes The Zombie Apocalypse will happen during our lifetime, so for any and every gift giving occasion I get him some kind of survival gear. He absolutely LOVES all of it and has a pack for each and every one of us, including all the pups!

I hate buying gifts for xmas because I can't stand consumerism, especially around the holidays...
but, one year, I made a boyfriend coupons with things like '1 free dinner & movie night' or '1 free get-out-of-doing-dishes' etc (and of course some of them were sexual in nature..hehe). I think I made about 10-15 total and told him they had to be used within the year. it went over really well...he said it was one of his favorite gifts because it was personal and I put a lot of thought into it.

Well we live together so maybe I'll cook him his favorite meal as a part of it!:) And he's kind of nerdy, big into video games, rpg's to be specific. He likes to collect old video games, but i would have NO idea about what games he'd really like.
But maybe I could make him a few coupons for a massage and a happy ending, he'd like that lol ;)
I'm sure any of that would be good for him! Merci Beaucoup

Hmm. He sounds like a similar chap to me - sadly, I cannot seem to remember much about presents I've been bought, ever. |:
Perhaps buy him a retro games console like a Sega Megadrive? Can't be the original Sonic The Hedgehog games, for nerdy video gaming!
Also, the Halo: Combat Evolved - Remastered edition has just come out, if he hasn't got it yet?
Clothing is always a good one, geeky/nerdy clothing is always a double bonus aswell.
I was given loads of this stuff by my ex, which I think is pretty rad:
http://www.boots.com/en/Soap-Glory-for-Men/

Failing all of my suggestions, a coupon is the way forward!

If he likes Halo then I'd go with that as the original has problems on some Xbox's (ours did) plus its in widescreen now as well. Figurines of characters from games/anime/comics always go down well with my geeky other half (we're both geeks btw).

Make him cookies decorated like old school Nintendo controllers - ya know, the rectangle ones?

I always get my hunnie some really nice shampoo or soap or something, because he just buys whatever crap is on sale, but I know he likes to smell nice for me, and there are some great men's lines that make good stuff - Burts Bees comes to mind first.
