I love this idea and look forward to contributing; I was also surprised that no one else had posted anything yet! I'll get around to it once I clean my house. Anything I have that's meaningful is very cleverly hidden under piles of crap.

Yesterday, when I looked through those pictures I was quite surprised about my own reaction towards this idea of "one´s most beloved items". I looked around my room and couldn´t really find anything I could have photographed. I´m not a person that fills his house with senseless decorations and all the stuff I possess is either functional or is linked to certain memories. Yet, there´s not a thing I could hardly live without. For some reason I didn´t expect myself to think this way, on the other hand this callousness towards material values is something I always considered desirable. I know it´s not the aim of your thread or this website, but to answer your question, I guess my choice would be quite rational: passport, money, tools, a sweater...

I would take my laptop, purse (wallet, car keys), passport. I don't really have much sentimental connection to much of my things, everything is easily replaced.

After a long hard think...I'd save these....

Shinju - I know, it's interesting to think about and realize some things about yourself. I was thinking about living away from home for the past 4.5 months and thinking, "What have I actually missed that I left at home?" The answer was my desktop computer, and one of my sweaters. That's literally it! I did take a lot of things with me when I travelled, but most of my items are at home.
Kinda a cool revelation!
